Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced professional with strong expertise in concrete construction and process mechanical/piping systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for strengthening and executing the Quality Control program, supporting field teams, and ensuring quality standards are consistently implemented across projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with project teams to develop and execute the Project Quality Plan.
  • Review prime contracts and subcontract agreements to understand technical specifications and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure all quality-related activities align with contractual scope and project conditions.
  • Interpret project specifications and provide technical guidance to the team.
  • Oversee inspections, witness testing, monitor field activities, and ensure proper documentation in accordance with approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Establish, maintain, and continuously improve project quality processes.
  • Evaluate and review work procedures to ensure effective quality management practices.
  • Provide QA/QC input during task planning and project coordination meetings.
  • Coordinate with client QA/QC representatives, third-party inspection agencies, and trade contractor quality personnel.
  • Verify that suppliers and vendors meet project specifications, including inspection of incoming materials.
  • Lead internal audits to confirm compliance with the project quality plan, manuals, and contractual requirements; report findings to district and project leadership.
  • Identify project-related quality risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Supervise mock-up planning, execution, and documentation.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Trade certification or a bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in quality control and/or construction, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
  • In-depth understanding of construction methods, specifications, drawings, and procedures.
  • Advanced knowledge of engineering systems, construction principles, and industry practices.
  • Strong familiarity with applicable construction codes and regulatory standards.
  • Proven ability to mentor and guide quality team members across diverse scopes of work.
  • Experience in developing and implementing site-specific quality plans.
  • Demonstrated capability in drafting procedures, manuals, and quality documentation.
  • Experience leading internal quality reviews and assessments.
  • Ability to analyze drawings and specifications, including visualization of 2D plans into 3D concepts.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate effectively.
  • Ability to monitor project schedules to ensure inspections and quality checkpoints are completed on time.
  • Skilled in identifying potential quality risks and implementing corrective actions.
